This process has been wonderful!
It has helped me to see that even though most of my life I’ve felt “less than “because of my disability. I have value to offer. Most of my problems weren’t even about my disability but instead about how I framed the way I looked at certain situations.
Changing the way I think is also changing the way I feel. I’m excited to move forward in my life and I know that I can accomplish what I want to as long as I believe it. Also I’ve learned that when I get overwhelmed by the sheer size of a task or goal, I can simply break it down to the first few steps needed and go from there. As well as practicing doing breathing relaxation techniques to help center myself and increase focus.
These have helped me to avoid procrastination which has been a struggle of mine. Today I feel better equipped to move forward in life!
